Yes, bird seed and treats can be frozen to help extend freshness. Freezing can slow down natural oxidation and help prevent pantry pests.
If you choose to freeze the product, store it in an airtight container or sealed bag to protect it from moisture. When ready to use, allow the product to return to room temperature before feeding to your bird.
For best quality, we still recommend storing treats in a cool, dry place and using them within the suggested shelf life.
Our treats are designed for adult and fully weaned birds. Baby birds have very specific nutritional requirements and typically need specialised diets formulated for growth and development.
If you are raising a baby bird or caring for an unweaned bird, we recommend speaking with an avian veterinarian or bird specialist to ensure they receive the appropriate nutrition.
Some of our seed mixes do contain nuts such as peanuts. If you know your bird has an allergy to certain ingredients, please check the ingredients on the back of pack before purchase.
